Adult Guitar Group: Frequently Asked Questions

Is the adult guitar group right for me?

If you want to learn Alternative/Indie songs in a welcoming, supportive environment, then my adult guitar group is definitely for you!

When does the group take place?

Most Saturdays, 12 til 1pm. Please click the button above to see times, as these sessions don’t run every Saturday.

Are beginners welcome?

Absolutely! There will be some time for individual help in this 60 minute session.

What’s the size of the group?

I have space for a maximum of 5 in a session, so reserve your place to avoid disappointment.

How much is it to join?

The price is £10 per person, for the 1 hour session.

How can I pay?

Cash, Card, Apple Pay, and Android Pay are accepted.

What will I learn?

You’ll learn chords, strumming, and basic lead / riffs. Songs requests are encouraged, as long as it fits the broad style of “Alternative/Indie”.

What do you mean exactly by “Alternative/Indie”?

This is a pretty broad term – but you can expect to play songs from the 1960s to present, that are a little less obvious than Smoke on the Water, Wonderwall, or Back in Black.

Who is the teacher?

I’m Chris, and I’ve been teaching guitar full-time since 2014. I also play guitar for Team Picture, a Leeds-based Alternative/Post-Punk group.

What do I need to bring?

Just bring yourself, and a guitar (Acoustic or Electric is fine).

Anything else I need to know?

I have two cats, so please be aware of this if you have allergies. They’re very friendly!
